It's Time for a new season...

Most of our friends and acquaintances are genuine.  Yet, some people you meet, circles you become a part of or organizations you join, have the mentality that they are doing you a favor. Sure, we are supposed to assemble  ourselves together to worship, to practice actions of love that show our faith in our salvation or to corporately worship God through our fellowship and breaking of bread with others. Also, we are supposed to help others, which often involves becoming a part of a larger group in order to make the most of the offerings of help.  There are times, though, that we become a part of a group or under a leader that stifles rather than encourages.

A new season is on the way!  A time for change!  It’s time to step out boldly, or even fearfully, and let go of those who keep you around just to have someone to step on when they feel bad about themselves.  You know who they are - the “If-you-let-me-treat-you-bad-then-I’ll-let-you-be-in-the-group-type people (kind of like a fraternity/sorority, but that's another blog to discuss later).  Don’t settle for that type of treatment, no matter what type of group it's happening in.  Be the eagle that you know you are supposed to be. It’s time to do some seasonal cleaning out of the old and making space for the new.  Dare to soar alone and reap BIG blessings by doing things God’s way, rather than getting pecked into some type of strange submission with a bunch of chickens and end up with only a few grains of human-made, human-controlled "blessings".
