Woman, do you ever feel like a dead tree, even though you know God has filled you with living water and knowledge/wisdom that needs to be shared? Well, be encouraged. Do what's necessary to go from feeling like a dead tree to BEing/sharing the fruitful, flowering tree that God has made you and wants to contiue to make you.

![]() I love the hymn “I surrender all”. As a pre-teen, our Sunday School teacher would have us sing that almost every Sunday morning, but I didn’t like it until I was well into adulthood. Lately, as God is directing me in particular ways, I am beginning to understand that “I surrender all” also applies to saying “no”. When someone or even myself expects me to be that type of Christian, doing whatever they want me to do or whatever I’ve seen that looks good to do, I’ve had to learn to stop struggling with pleasing others and myself by doing a whole lot of “good” things instead of doing the right, assigned things. If God tells you “no”, don’t struggle with it. Surrender to the “no” just like you’ve surrendered to “yes” in the past that you didn’t want to do. Just say “no”. Yes, you will look strange sitting there while everyone else is running around doing “good, Christian” things. Yes, you will seem standoffish when others go but you don’t and really don’t have a good reason for not going. But your call, at that moment or for that activity, is to say “no”. Every door, window, battle or lion’s den is not for you to enter. Just say “no”…… no matter how good or spiritual the activity may be and trust God as to why you can’t but everyone else can. Besides, you've got to GO do the specific thing that God called you to do. BESIDES, you need to use your time to GO do the specific things God called you to do. Now, GO say "No"!
